The California Supreme Court has upheld the ban on gay marriage. However, they did rule that the 18,000+ marriages already granted in the state will be allowed to stand. More to come as information becomes available. Over 52% of California voters supported Proposition 8 which defined marriage as that between a man and a woman.
Take a look at this You-Tube testimony. Here is the story and the first hand pain that's almost never heard or reported in the MSM.
Thanks to the Iowa Family Policy Center (IFPC) for bringing this powerful tool to the front lines of the fight for family values here in Iowa and nationwide. There's nothing that impacts hearts and minds more effectively than the tears of a father who watched his own son die from HIV-Aids.
Now that Iowa invites gay marriage to our state, you may want to listen to the "cost" that Iowans paid to treat Randy as he succumbed to his illness. Is Iowa financially able to take on the expensive consequences of treating uninsured gay victims of HIV? I can't begin to imagine the increases in future health insurance premiums once this phenomenon is realized en mass.
For further reading, Randy's father Karl published an editorial in the Des Moines Register that brings balance and love to this dialog instead of the language of hatred and condemnation. This is how we effectively persuade and win the argument against gay marriage.
Effective leadership can result from this powerful example.
